Electroblotting proteins separated by SDS-PAGE through a trypsin-containing membrane and onto a capture membrane simplifies extraction and digestion of proteins. Subsequent liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) identifies the extracted peptides.
