A mass spectrometry imaging dataset generated via IR-MALDESI. Human, rhesus macaque, and humanized mouse ileum and rectum tissues were imaged for small molecule antiretroviral distribution. Corresponding immunohistochemistry (target CD3) or in situ hybridization (target viral RNA) data from serial sections are provided as supplemental information.
