The study involved Germ-Free (GF) mice subjected to gavage with two bacterial strains: Ruminococcus gnavus (ATCC 29149) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (ATCC 53103). Fecal samples were collected at three time points: pre-gavage, day 3 post-gavage, and day 21 post-gavage. Fecal samples were analyzed for polar metabolites using Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) in both positive and negative ionization modes.
