Formulations with herbal medicines (HM) may emerge as alternatives for topical treatment of vaginal candidiasis when the resistance to antifungal drugs has increased in Candida species. We developed a vaginal formulation with HM (S. adstringens shell extract characterized by molecular networking, and M. alternifolia Chell essential oil, 46% of terpinen-4-ol).
