Metastatic breast cancer cells (MCF10CA1a) were treated with vehicle (DMSO) or 20 uM of Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) inhibitor TVB-3166 for three days. Untargeted global proteomics (Tryp/Lys-C; Lumos) was performed on the whole cell lysates, as well as isolated lipid droplet fractions from each lysate. All samples were prepared in the same manner, including lipid extraction prior to protein digestion.
