FLAG-tagged derivates of both ZED1 and PBS1 were separately co-expressed in yeast with wild-type (wt) or catalytically-inactive (C216A) FLAG-tagged alleles of HopZ1a, an acetyltransferase effector from phytopathogen P. syringae. Anti-FLAG immunoprecipitates from these yeast cell lysates were subjected to mass spectometry.
