For improving our understanding of the metabolic capacity of the bacterial genus Tepidiforma, quantitative exometabolomics was performed using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) on pure cultures of two novel Tepidiforma species grown on R2A broth. Experimental samples were compared to sterile controls of the growth medium, either stored at 4 degrees C in the dark or incubated along with the culture tubes to account for thermal degradation of medium components. This dataset contains LC-MS/MS spectra of the sample filtrates.
