For temporal volatilome tracking (temporal study), sampling was performed in a houses central location for the duration of the study collecting samples after key scripted activities and across the entire campaign duration.
The sampler consisted of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) which can absorb volatile and semi-volatile chemicals across a wide range of partition coefficients. The chemicals were then analyzed in both targeted and non-targeted fashion by gas chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry (GC-HRMS) for comprehensive detection of chemical constituents.
